Another Deck…We could see Canada!

July16

When the groundworkers were getting finished with the foundation at Mull, We headed even further up to ‘Kilchoan’

A Long Way

We built a deck,  probably the biggest one yet, about 56 square metres – the average size over the year is about 20 square metres.

Kilchoan Deck

I think Tony the homeowner has an plan to rent it out for functions to the residents of Kilchoan!!!

We stayed at a really nice place – www.kilchoanhousehotel.co.uk Great rooms and cliff makes a great breakfast!

There is a few pictures below of the finished deck,  Ross had a great idea – he wanted to get a boat and see how long it would take him to reach Canada!! He was sure he could make it out through the binoculars!!

The picture below is of ‘Roscoe’  When we first got there he must have liked my trousers or something -  he was really munching on them – I thought I would have to do the deck in my ‘new’ shorts,  it was only a greeting from him and he left me alone the rest of the build.

That is now Mull with a foundation (pic below)  an insulated slab – Once the timber kit goes up there will be underfloor heating going throughout the house, this is why we have the insulated slab – I will have more details and photos of this getting installed at the time.   Next stage for here will be to get the scaffold up then wait for the timber kit to arrive from www.scotframe.co.uk
